CPN MAOIST SECRETARY RULES OUT IMMEDIATE REVOLUTION
Kathmandu, 22 Sept.: CPN-Maoist Secretary Netra Bikram Chand has ruled out any possibility of immediate revolution in the country, RSS reports.
Inaugurating the national gathering of National Association of Revolutionary Intellectuals here on Saturday, he said no political forces have power to launch revolution or to go for civil war as said in public.
Secretary Chand claimed the split within the Unified CPN-Maoist was resulted with the party establishment side deviating from the Marxist principle.
The Marxist movement in the country has no energy when the Nepali communist parties could not settle the issues of conflict between social or economic class, especially between the capitalist and proletariat class.
CPN-Maoist leader Chand blamed the incumbent government of encouraging anti-nationalist activities. He, however, underlined the need to launch revolution in a new way to bring about required changes in the country.
CPN-Maoist leader Suresh Ale Magar stressed that the intellectual class should think and act beyond their self interest and extend support for the prosperity of the country.
Chairman of the All Nepal Teachers' Association Gunanidhi Lohani, Nepal National University Teachers' Union Takma KC, and Professor Ramesh Sharma among others accused the establishment side of being digressed from the communist
movement.
