Netra Bahadur Thapa was promoted Friday to the vacant post of Lt.. Gen. in Nepal Army (NA) after Gen. Gaura SJB Rana took charge as Army Chief Lt. Gen. Thapa was installed by Army Chief Rana the same day and will be the second in command in NA replacing Maj. Gen Nepal Bhusan Chand who is being superannuated. Lt. Gen. Thapa has taken charge of responsibilities held by Maj. Gen Chand. Maj. Gen.
