FURTHER DETAILS OF PRESIDENT, PARTY TALKS Kathmandu, 16 Sept.: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has urged top leaders of the major political parties to give new constitution to the Nepali people at the earliest by forging consensus among political parties, RSS reports. President Yadav said he is worried as the talks held among political parties could not find an outlet though frequent discussions were held among them and convinced that he will be positive to an outlet given by the parties for a new constitution by forging political consensus. Expressing concern and worries on the role of political parties and his own to resolve the crisis, President Yadav questioned leaders as to why the consensus process was delayed from their side. During the meeting with Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal, President of the Nepali Congress Sushil Koirala, Chairman of the CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal and Chairman of the United Democratic Madhesi Morcha Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar held at the Rastrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas, this morning, President Yadav insisted on the political parties to give an outlet to the political crisis sooner. Quoting the President, Chairman of the Morcha and Deputy Prime Minister Gachchhadar said an outlet should be given to the country by forging consensus among the four political parties, as people have wanted the new constitution and added that political parties should either give the constitution by forging consensus or by holding election. Koirala said the President urged them to be serious on the issue and asked to end the issue of constitution at the earliest and added that he has the responsibility as the patron of the constitution. Khanal said it is better to promulgate the new constitution by forging consensus and added that they are taking initiative for the same but that they have to go for elections if consensus was not forged. He further said the UCPN-Maoist, as the biggest political party, should play a role being flexible to forge consensus sooner. Morcha leader Gachchhadar said attempts will be made today for reinstating the CA through consensus and expressed the view that election should be held by forming a national consensus government if consensus was not forged. nnnn
