MEETINGS OF UCPN MAOIST POSTPONED INDEFINITELY Kathmandu, 14 Sept. National meets of sister organizations of UCPN Maoist, including YCL, have been postponed indefinitely following differences between faction led by Cairman Prachanda and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who is a vice-chairman. The meetings were scheduled to be held at different dates and veneues after the party’s 7th plenum in the capital and ahead of a general convention in February 2013. YCL meeting was scheduled on 28 January 2013. Nnnn BHAKTAPUR LANDSLIDE BURIES WOMAN TO DEATH Kathmandu, 14 Sept.: A pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a motorcycle at Baruwa of Madi, the southern part of Chitwan district today [Friday], RSS reports.. The person who died in the accident is Hiramani Mahato of Gardi-8. According to eyewitnesses, a motorcycle (Na 12 Pa 9456) bound to Gardi from Baghauda hit Mahato, leaving him seriously injured. He died in course of treatment at 1:30 pm at Bharatpur Medical College, said the District Police Office Chitwan. Following the accident, police have arrested the motorcyclist and impounded the vehicle.Meanwhile, five people have been injured in a jeep accident at Deurali VDC- 6 in Palpa district. A jeep (Lu 1 Ja 1313) heading towards district headquarters Tansen from Sardewa met with an accident at around 11:45 am today. Of the injured, condition of three is critical, said the District Police Office, Palpa. The injured have been rushed to Tansen for treatment. Meantime, 70 year old Juneli Sunuwar of Sudal VDC- 8 in Bhaktapur district died after a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall last night swept her home away. The police recovered her body this morning with the help of the locals. She was living in the house alone. nnnn
