NEPAL DRINKING WATER CORPORATION OFFICES PADLOCKED INDEFINITELY
Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: The National Independent Employees´ Council at Nepal Drinking Water Corporation on Wednesday padlocked the Corporation and all of its branch offices for the indefinite period.
According to Chairman of the Employees´ Council, Bhimsen Pokhrel, the employees were forced to padlock the office and its branches, as the senior post in the central office was vacant for long and the employees unpaid for three months.
He said the employees were deprived of salaries and allowances due to lack of transaction because no General Manager was appointed for long.
Even the employees union has announced protest programs today reasoning the same

INDIAN DRUGS PEDDLER ARRESTED WITH 8KG HASH
Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: Police arrested an Indian national along with eight kilograms of hashish from Dhading district. RAA reports from Gauuri.
The arrested is Ananda Agrawal of Kolkata in India.
According to Assistant Sub-Inspector, Padam Thapa, Agrawal was arrested from Bhumesthan VDC in the district along the Prithvi Highway.
Investigation into the case is underway, said the District Police Office.

US AMBASSADOR TO LIBYA KILLED
Kathmandu, 12 Sept : The American ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, and three officials were killed when a mob attacked the US consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi, the interior ministry said Wednesday, AFP reports from
Benghazi, Libya.
"The ambassador was killed along with three other officials," said Wanis al-Sharif, the deputy minister of the interior. Stevens´ death in Tuesday´s attack was confirmed in a tweet by Mustafa Abu Shagur, the deputy prime minister.
Stevens, a career officer with the US foreign service, had been in the country for less than four months after taking up his post in the capital Tripoli in May.
Fawzi Wanis, who heads the High Security Commission in Benghazi, confirmed that Stevens was at the consulate when it was attacked.
The ambassador was killed when an armed mob protesting against a film deemed offensive to Islam attacked the US mission, just hours after Islamists also stormed Washington´s embassy in the Egyptian capital Cairo.
The film at the centre of the anti-US protests was made by an Israeli-American who describes Islam as a "cancer" and depicts the Prophet Mohammed sleeping with women, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Before confirmation of Stevens´ death, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced that a State Department official had been killed in the attack on the consulate, saying: "We are heartbroken by this terrible loss."
