NO AGREEMENT IN CABINET AGAIN ON NEW IGP Kathmandu, 10 Sept.: Agreement wasn’t reached Monday at the cabinet on appointment of an IGP to succeed Ravindra Pratap Shah who is being superannuated in a few days. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is supporting candidacy of Kuber Singh Rana on seniority basis against the wishes of deputy rime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gacheddhar, who is also home minister. Agreement has been elusive at several rounds of cabinet meetings amid threats of Madesbadi parties in government to withdraw if Rana is appointed. nnnn
