PM ASKS PRESIDENT TO REMOVE OBSTACLES IN APPOINTMENTS UPDATE Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Wednesday asked Presidnt at a meeting in a formal meeting at Shital Biwas to remove obstacles in the appointments to constitutional bodies in the absence of parliament, The premier made the suggestion in the absence of parliament where a committee vets the appointments. Positions in constitutional bodies are vacant for several years for this reason and lobbying by major parties to appoint their lackeys. President’s Press Advisor Rajendra Dahal said the head of state will study the request.
