PM BHATTARAI PRESENT AT NEW ARMY CHIEF’S INSTALLATION AT SHITAL NIWAS Kathmandu, 9 Sept.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai who also looks after the defence ministry portfolio was present when President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav Sunday installed Lt. Gen Gaurav Shumshere Rana as the 41st ArmyCHief of Nepal Army. Other ministers and senior officials were also present. Gen Rana has been installed for three years. He assumed office at Army Headquarters after the ceremonial installation. Rana is 57. Nnnn UPDATE GULMI BUS ACCIDENT Kathmandu, 9 Sept.: Death toll in Sunday morning’s Gulmi death has icreaed to 14 dead; 25 others were injured, four seriously. Eleven persons died on the spot. The bus fell 300 meters off a road as it was giving way to a motorcycle coming from an opposite direction. Meanwhile the driver of an ambulance which fell into Trishuli river is missing in neighbouring Nuwakot. nnnn
