RPP-NEPAL EXTENDED MEET IN BIRGUNJ Kathmandu, 29 Sept.: The extended party meeting of RPP-Nepal is being held in Birgunj Saturday afternoon. The party is attempting to expand its foothold in the terai. Current issues are being discussed.. The party led by Kamal Thapa supports constitutional monarchy, a Hindu state and is against a federal structure. Nnnn 21-PARTY FRONT OF RULING PARTIES RESCHEDULES PROGAMMES Kathmandu, 29 Sept.: A front of 21 parties formed by the ruling alliance of UCPN Maoist and five Madeshbadi parties has rescheduled I four urban centers, including Kathmandu. Maoist chief Prachanda, who is also chairman of the front, rescheduled theprogrammes after consultations with members. The meetings are essentially election rallies to take the group’ policies and progmmes to people. The public meeting in the capital will now be held 12 October. Rallies are also being held in Janakpur, Nepalgunj and Biratnaga. Planned programme in Pokhara has been cancelled. Nnnn MAOIST RAISE PARTY MEMBERSHIP FEE Kathmandu, 29 Sept.: UCPN Maoist has raised membership fee of the party to Rs.15.00 per month ahead of its first general convention in February 2013., an announcement by Chairman Prachanda said. The free has been raised Rs.5.00 per month from 2069 Baishak. In addition, an annual Rs.180.00 levy every has also been enforced. year nnnn
