Over 13 bigahas of the university´s property at Gothgaon in Indrapur VDC of Morang district has been encroached upon by different organizations due to the negligence of the university. The land is being encroached by different groups and individuals as the university has failed to shift to its new property at Indrapur VDC. The University has built its central office and a 300-bed capacity teaching hospital complex at Gothgaon. But the university has neither moved to its central office nor brought the teaching hospital into operation for so long. The university was established 12 years back. Fourteen different ethnic organizations have captured nearly 13 out of the total 805 bigha land belonging to the university here under the leadership of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN). It is said that these are encroaching on the university property without any authorization from the university and the university administration is doing nothing to check this. The government had provided 11 kaththas of the university´s land to the NEFIN few years back. They have constructed a Sakela Than or shrine on that property. Again the government decided to allocate a plot of the university´s land to the local Muslim community. The Muslim community has already turned that land into a graveyard. Nnnn
