SUSPENDED BAHRAIN AIR FLIGHTS TO RESUME
Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: Bahrain Air’s suspended flights 11 June will
resume Friday.
A senior airline official confirmed this in a statement Wednesday.

POLICE IN BUNKERS FOR10 YEARS
Kathmandu, 12 Sept. : Police personnel in Jogbudha of Dadeldhura district have been living inside bunker for the past ten years after then CPN (Maoist) destroyed Area Police Office building roofed with straw during the insurgency, RSS reports
from Kanchanpur. .
The Unified Security Force deployed in the police office had built bunkers around the area after the arson in the police office.
Outgoing Spokesperson and Police Inspector at Mahakali Zonal Police Office Karna Bahadur Bom said the police personnel were bound to live inside bunker for want of building.
As a result, it is difficult to run daily activities. There are some 88 units of police in the Mahakali zone with around 2,000 quotas of police.
However, Mahakali Zonal Police Office claimed that process to construct the building of police office was initiated.

RETIRED TOP OFFICIALS, POLICE OFIERS OPPOSE
INTERFRENCE
Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: Former top civil servants and police officers have drawn a conclusion that the nature of politicians to choose top bureaucrats and police officers on their own was a deliberate insult of the people, RSS reports.
Speaking at an interaction programme organized by the Reporters' Club in the capital on Wednesday, they said the politicians were preoccupied with wrong mentality that they would secure more votes in elections if police chief and civil servants were selected as per their wish.
The speakers also alleged the politicians of being guided by favoritism and nepotism being deviated from the national responsibility.
Commenting on the dillydallying to select the chief of Nepal Police by the government, the former bureaucrats and police officers said that this has created groupism in security organization--a serious symptom in police organization.
Former home secretaries Khem Raj Regmi and Umesh Prasad Mainali, former inspector general of Nepal Police Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan, former additional inspector general of Nepal Police Anantaram Bhattarai and others expressed their opinion against the existing trend of political interference on bureaucracy and security organizations.
