UPDATE FOLLOW-UP MEETING OF BIG THREE. MADESHMORCHA BEGINS
Kathmandu, 16 Seot. A meeting of the Big Three and ruling Madesh Morcha began in the capital late Sunday after their consultations with President DR. Ram Baran Yadsv.wjo expressed concern with the continued political deadlock.
The president asked the ruling and opposition parties to come to an
understanding to end the deadlock before the beginning of the festive
season.
The president asked parties to come to an understanding either on reinstating the constituent assembly or holding assembly/parliamentary elections.
“He put forward very serious issues,” UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal
said describing issues discussed..
“We discussed the roles of parties and the president. He wanted a speedy resolution,” Khanal added.
:”I am ready to do anything as a custodian of the constitution,” Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar quoted the president as saying.

TOURISM MINISTER SAYS GOVT. READY TO DEVELOP TOURISM
Kathmandu, 16 Sept : Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Posta Bahadur Bogati has said the government would cooperate with the tourism entrepreneurs to develop the entire tourism industry and have economic progress, promoting mountaineering tourism in the international arena, RSS reports.
Opening the 23rd annual general meeting of the Nepal Mountaineering Association at Hotel Yak and Yeti on Sunday, the tourism minister urged the tourism entrepreneurs to consult with the ministry if any amendment is necessary to the concerned regulations and working procedures for resolving the problems in this sector.
On the occasion, Minister Bogati launched a website of the NMA Peak Profile and International Mountaineering Museum.
Similarly, he honoured foreign nationals and a tourism journalist with different awards for their contribution in the promotion of Nepal´s mountaineering tourism.
US nationals Gullermo Benegas (Willie) and Damian Benegas have been awarded with the Kumar Khadga Bikram Bravery Award carrying a purse of Rs.50,000 and a letter of appreciation.
Likewise, Dr Harka Gurung Mountaineering Award has been presented to French national and ENSA teacher, the late Jean Coudray posthumously. The award carries a purse of Rs. 50,000 and a letter of appreciation.
Similarly, Dawa Norbu Tourism Award carrying a purse of Rs. 25,000 and letter of appreciation has been presented to Nepal Television senior journalist Raju Silwal. The Association that was established in 1973 has 865 members.
