32 PARTIES MAKE BID TO END DEADLOCK Kathmandu, 2Oct. Thirty-two parties in the dissolved constituent assembly (CA), including the Big Four in opposition and government Tuesday discussed an outlet to the prolonged constitutional and political crisis. “Some called for CA reinstatement. Most parties called for new election,” Maoist Spokesman Agni Sapkota said. :”An economic, financial crisis looms from Kartik [ 14 Oct.]. There are still many hurdles. Most of the parties agreed to go for elections. There’s no alternative to an agreement,” UML: Chairman Jhalanath Khanal said. Smaller arties asked the Big Four to call an all-party meet for consensus for any negotiated outlet. There was no firm agreement at the meeting on issues raised/ The parties are making a renewed effort for an outlet after an appeal from President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav. Nnnn
