BA DEV RULES OUT PARTY SURVIVAL ON ETHNICITY
Kathmandu, 6 Oct.: Vice-Chairman of the CPN-UML Bam Dev Gautam has said that no party can survive on grounds of ethnic politics, RSS reports from Tanahu.
Speaking at a press meet organized by Press Chautari Tanahu Chapter today, Vice-Chairman Gautam also accused the ruling UCPN-Maoist and Madhesi Front of jeopardizing constitutional politics.
These two powers are fueling ethnic struggles and paving way to split the country, he said adding that country could not tolerate tyranny.
"Multi-ethnic identity needs to be guaranteed along with the election to the Constituent Assembly," he underscored.
The disgruntled Janajati-Madhesi leaders of the CPN-UML including Vice-Chairman Ashok Rai had declared their breakaway from the mother party on Thursday, October 4.

ANOTHER NC LEADER BLAMES GOVT.
Kathmandu, 6 Oct.: General Secretary of the Nepali Congress (NC) Krishna Prasad Sitaula has blamed incumbent government for present political and constitutional deadlock, RSS reports from Kirtipur.
Sitaula made this remarks at a greetings exchange programme organized by the Dahachowk village unit committee of the Nepali Congress today.
NC General Secretary Sitaula further said national consensus could not be forged because of the present government.
Stressing on need of unity among all Nepalis to promote and protect national interests, he said, “There is need of fraternity and reconciliation in every village in the country”.
