QATAR ESTABLISHES EMBASSY
Kathmandu,, 5 Oct.: The Government of Qatar has established its embassy here after 35 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two
Countries, RSS reports.
The Embassy was established as a residential embassy which will start its work formally from October 9.
Finance Controller of the Embassy, Eyad Hamdan, said that Qatar-Nepal relation is harmonious and added that the government of Qatar established the Embassy to further strengthen the relations.
Stating that the Embassy will be operated within a few days with the preparation to provide consular service including visa, Hamdan said the demand of Nepali workers is high in Qatar.
According to the statistics of the Department of Foreign Employment, more than 400,000 Nepalis are working in Qatar.
The number of diplomatic missions in Nepal has reached 27 with the establishment of the Qatar Embassy. Similarly, Saudi Arabia has also established an embassy here on the charge de' affairs level.

FIRE KILLS ONE PERSON IN MORANG
Kathmandu, 5 Oct.: A person, who was injured in a road accident at Dulari-1 in Morang district along the East-West Highway Thursday night, died this [Friday] morning, RSS reports from Morang..
Injured Dinesh Darji, 23, died this morning while undergoing treatment at Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital, according to the District Police office, Morang.
The accident took place when a bus (Na 1 Kha 968) heading towards east from west hit the pedestrian Darji Thursday night.
Meanwhile, property worth Rs. three million was gutted in fire at Khorsane of Indrapur-1 in Morang district Thursday night.
The property was destroyed after the house of Tika Kattel of Indrapur-1 caught fire.
The fire destroyed all goods and cash in a hotel of San Bahadur Paudel and electronic shop of Narayan Dhamala. The hotel and shop were at the house.
Police, fire engines and locals brought the fire under control at 5:00 am this morning.No human casualty has been reported in the incident.
