REJECT FOREIGN AID SAYS MOHN BAIDDYA
Kathmandu, 6 Sept.: Chairman of the CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baiddya, has opined that foreign aid should be accepted only at the time of national need, RSS reports..
Opening the national convention of the National Industry and Trade Organization amidst a programme here today, Baiddya said foreign capital would do no good to the country and his party was against promoting foreign investment.
He claimed that foreign investment brought in ignoring interests of the nation would not be a support to achieving progress and prosperity, rather it increases foreign dependency. He accused the Prime Minister of pretending that he did not know this fact.
Underlining the need of mobilizing that national capital and motivating domestic business community, leader Baiddya claimed that the incumbent government has discouraged the domestic investors.
Similarly, party leader Dinesh Sharma and association Chairman Shiba Kattel accused the government of causing obstructions in building independent economy.
The two-day convention is expected to elect new leadership for the Organisation. RSS

UML CHAIRMAN KHANAL SAYS NO CONSENSUS UNTIL GOVT. OUSTED

At a greetings exchange programme organized here on Saturday by Youth Association Nepal (YAN), District Working Committee, Kathmandu on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, Chairperson Khanal warned of launching strong agitation if the government does not easily agree to unseat on consensus,
The Friday's show of strength was just a tailor, Khanal said, claiming that they would unseat the government by creating furor through street struggle if it did not tend to vacate the posts on consensus.
Noting that the parties failed to deliver pro-people constitution due to obduracy on the part of the ruling parties in the past, he blamed the Unified CPN (Maoist) of moving ahead by befooling opposition parties.
CPN-UML leaders and cadres and representatives from party organs were present on the occasion.

Kathmandu, 6 Oct.: : Top leaders of major political parties have underlined the need of formation of national consensus government and reiterated stances that their respective parties should get the opportunity to head the consensus government.
However, CPN (UML) leader Raghubir Mahaseth opined that leadership of the new government should be given to the Nepali Congress if the political parties want 'politics of honesty'.
Political leaders who are already convinced that there was no alternative to the CA election accused Dr Baburam Bhattarai-led government of being an obstacle in forging the national consensus.
UCPN (Maoist) politburo member Ram Karki said political instability would grip the country if the formation of government of national consensus did not materialize within this month.
He said, "However, the matter which party will lead the consensus government is a minor issue".
These political leaders were speaking at a face-to-face programme organised by the Reporters' Club here today.
Similarly, NC leader Dr Ram Sharma Mahat state power would go into the hands of President if parties failed to agree on national consensus within mid November.
Likewise, Co Chairman of the Rastriya Janashakti Party Dr Praksash Chandra Lohani accused the UCPN (Maoist) of becoming an obstacle for resoling all the political problems in the country.
Madhesi leader Rameshwar Raya Yadav said the Madhesi Front would take the leadership of the national consensus government if three major political parties failed to do so.
