DOLING OUT RS.200,000 TO EACH DISQUALIFIED MAOIST FIGHTER Kathmandu, 31 Oct.: Government led by Maoists has decided to distribute Rs.200,000 each to former disqualified fighters UNMIN, a political arm of UN that disqualified the former fighters—mostly child soldiers—disqualified the combatants who have come out of the streets demanding reinstatement an removal of the disqualified tag. UNMIN has withdrawn from Nepal without completing its original mandate. Government decided to distribute the dole without concurrence of major parties represented at a special committee headed ex-officio by the prime minister for integration, resettlement and supervision of the former fighters.
