AGREEMENT TO CURB CROSS-BORDER CRIME Kathmandu, 2 Nov. : A regular border security meeting between Nepal and India sides has agreed to take all possible measures to control cross-border crimes, RSS reports from Biratnagar.. The meeting concluded at Bathnahaya of Arariya district in India on Friday reviewed the latest situation of illegal activities reported in the border area. The meeting focused on various issues of bilateral concerns including repair of the damaged border pillars, control of cross border crimes, smuggling of street drugs and Indian currency notes and racket of fake currency. The meeting agreed to take elaborate measures to control illegal activities taking place in the no man´s land or Dashgaja area through mutual coordination, said Chief District Officer of Morang, Taranath Gautam who also attended the meeting. Similarly, the meeting held broad discussions about the smuggling of livestock in both the countries and future strategy for the prevention. Chief District Officers of Sunari and Morang and, Superintendents of Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force and the National Investment Department were present at the meeting on behalf of Nepali side while local administration chiefs of Arariya district attended the meeting on behalf of the Indian side Nnnn ________________________________________
