CONSENSUS AGAIN ELUSIVE AT MEETING WITH PRESIDENT UPDATE Kathmandu, 19 Nov.: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadan Monday morning gave major political parties in government and opposition and Prime Minister Bhattarai until Thursday to forge a consensus that has been elusive so far. The president invited Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai , two main opposition party leaders and leader of Madeshi Morcha Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar, who is also deputy prime minister, for a collective meeting. The president convened the meeting for the second time in two days. Leaders of the ruling coalition and two opposition parties met the president in a group Sunday and the prime ministry separately. They held consultations with the head of state collectively Monday.morning. Leaders discussed without an agreement contentious issues, including a consensus government, full budget, election and other issues. Participants agreed on a consensus government without agreement on who will lead it. Nnnn BOARD MEMBERS OF KIST BANK ELECTED Kathmandu, 19 Nov.: Kist Bank annual general meeting Sunday re-elected board embers for a four-year term. Ram Prasad Dahal, Kumar Prasad .Ganawali, Gyan Bahadur GC, Bishnu Gopal Shrestha Shrestha were re-elected. Achyut Raj Joshi and Kumar Keshar Bista were unanimously elected board membesfrom the public. nnnn
