DEUBA LENDS SUPPORT TO PRESIDENT KOIRAL AS PM CANDIDATE Kathmandu, 27 Nov Senior leader of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that he would support his party president if the NC was given the leadership of the consensus government, RSS reports. At the meeting of the central members of the party close to Deuba held at his residence on Tuesday, leader Deuba said he would support party President Sushil Koirala with a condition to resolve the differences within the party. Matters relating to the latest political development, leadership of the consensus government and the ongoing talks and dialogue among various political parties were discussed at the meeting, according to NC central member Min Bahadur Biswakarma. nnnn NRT VICTORIOUS UPDATE Kathamandu, 27 Nov.: New Road Team (NRT) and Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) won their respective game held on Tuesday under the Martyrs Memorial A division football league, RSS reports. In the first match held at Dasarath Stadium, NRT defeated Tribhuvan Army Club 1-0 while RCT got better of Friends Club by 2-1. The lone goal for NRT was scored by Ajaya BK in the 41st minute. Likewise, Dipak Magar scored twice to win the match for RCT. Nirajan Khadka of Friends Club scored one for his team. Tomorrow's match is being played between Sankata Club versus Saraswati Youth Club while Nepal Police Club faces Macchindra Club. Nnnn BLUE DIAMOND SEEKS RECOGNITION Kathmandu, 27 Nov.:: The Blue Diamond Society has expressed concern over the exclusion of the number of third gender people in the final statistics of national census 2011, RSS reports from Lalitpur.sday, Society Chairperson Sunil Babu Panta said it was a matter of sadness that the final statistics of the national census did not mentioned the number of homosexuals and third gender people in Nepal. He accused the government of neglecting the presence of third gender people, who have been struggling for their identity for the past 12 years. The government intention is to overshadow the issues concerning the third gender by not including their number in the national census, the note adds. The Society has warned of launching an agitation if the state did not pay any heed to ensure the rights of third genders. According to the Society, the number of homosexuals and third genders is around 400,000. nnnn
