FESTIVE SEASON ENDS
Kathmandu, 16 Nov.; The extended festive season 2012 ended Friday
with government offices re-opening after a three-day public holiday for Tihar.
Dashain was celebrated earlier.
Preparations are now afoot to celebrate Chaat in terai.

SHRIKANT ADHIKARI DEAD
Kathmandu, 16 Nov. Shrikant Admikari was cremated Thursdy amid full honours provided by main opposition NC.
He was 85.
Adhikari was arrested in 2006 during theRana regime after a Brahmin took a revolutionary step by ploughing a field with a home.

CAPITAL’S MINIMUM TEMPERATURE 6 DEGREES CELSIUS
FRIDAY.
Kathmandu, 16 Nov.: Capital’s minimum temperature Friday morning was 6 degrees Celsius.
Mercury is expected to rise to 23 degrees Celsius in the afternoon on sunny day.
