LAXMI PUJA AND KUKUR PUJA BEING OBSERVED TUESDAY Kathmandu, 13 Nov.: The third day of tihar began Tuesday with the worship of the kukur or the dog. Laxmi ,the Goddess of Wealth, will be worshipped in the evening. A three-day holiday to mark tihar begins Tuesday as well. Government promised uninterrupted power supply for three days during the festival from Tuesday—the promise wasn’t kept. Power supply was disrupted in sections of the capital twice for more than four hours. Laxmi puja also marks the 104th birthday of Laxmi Prasad Devkota. nnnn. RS. 65,000 FIXED AS SERVICE CHARGE Kathmandu,13 Nov.: Foreign employment agencies can charge a maximum of Rs.65,000 from workers going to Portugal for work. The rate has been fixed by government.
