MOTHER POISONS HERSELF, CHILDREN OVER DISPUTE, Kathmandu, 15 Nov.: Four out of five family members have consumed poison in Banke, RSS reports from Banke.. Geeta Chaudhary, a resident of Titihiriya -5 in Banke poisoned her two daughters and one son and herself after a debate with husband, said police. They all are undergoing treatment at the Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur, said Area Police Office, Kohalpur. The condition of the mother is critical. While, her eight year old daughter Elisha, six year old daughter Sneha and four-year old son Rahul Chaudhary's condition is stable. Nnnn PM RECEIVES TIKA Kathmandu, 15 Nov.: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai received Bhaitika from his elder sister Thir Kumari Parajuli and younger sister Parbati Sharma at the auspicious hour of 11:23 am on Thursday morning, RSS reports. PM Dr. Bhattarai went to the house of his younger brother Shiva Bhattarai at Koteswor in the capital for receiving tika. Meanwhile, while talking to journalists before the tika, Bhattarai claimed that consensus will be reached on all disputed issues by third week of November and Constituent Assembly (CA) election will be declared by fourth week of November. FORDER KING RECEIVED BHAI TIKA Kathmandu, 15 Nov.: Members of the former royal family received Bhaitika at the auspicious hour of 11: 23 am this morning on the occasion of Bhai Tika festival. Former queen mother Ratna Shah gave tika to her younger brother Sushil Shumsher Rana at Mahendra Manjil in Narayanhity palace. Former King Gyanendra Shah received Bhaitika from his younger sister Shova Shahi at Shova Griha, Kamaladi in the capital, said Shah's Personal Secretariat Secretary Faniraj Pathakm RS reports. Former queen Komal Shah also blessed her younger brothers Suraj and Udaya Shamsher Rana with Bhaitika , said Pathak. Nnnn NEPAL, NORTH KOREA CONULTATIONS Kathmandu, 15 Nov.: The second meeting of the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism established in foreign secretary level between Nepal and the Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK) is to be held from Tuesday, RSS reports. The meeting to be held in Pyongyang after one decade although it was agreed to hold regularly but was stalled for various reasons, will focus on matters of mutual interest and strengthening of bilateral relations, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Arjun Bahadur Thapa. The three-day meeting will discuss on issues of international, regional and mutual concern, he said. Foreign Secretary Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Joint Secretary Ambika Luintel, Under-secretary Rita Dhital and senior officer of the Nepali Embassy in Beijing will leave for Pyongyang for the meeting on Sunday, said Thapa. The mechanism established in 2001 had its first meeting held in 2002 in Kathmandu. Nepal has established such mechanisms with Thailand, China and Bangladesh. nnnn
