NEPAL-CHINA AIRCRAFT PURCHASE DEAL
Kathmandu, 30 Nov.: An agreement was signed Thursday between government representatives and China to purchase one MA 60 and three Y12E aircraft
against a soft loan provided by Azim Bank of China.
Chinese government will provide a MA 60 and Y12E aircraft each on
grant.
Culture and Tourism Ministry Joint Secretary Ranjan Krishna Aryal and
Acting General Manager of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Raju
Bahadur KC and Asia Director of Avic International Yang Kun Bang and General Representative and Programme Manager Song Siyao Nong signed the
agreement.
The aircraft delivery will begin early next year.
The puchase agreement was signed as Airbus renewed negotiations with NAC tompurchs two aircraft to the Nepali national carrier.
An earlier deal fell through amid now dismissed charges of corruption in the purchase

pneumonia treatment, is inaugurating a two-day statute national convention of its yoith wing in the capital to amend a body’s statute.
Five hundred plus delegates are participating.
A closed door session begins Saturday.

SECURITY MEET OF MID AND FAR-WEST CONCLUDES FRIDAY
Kathmandu, 30 Nov.: A two-day meet of senior home ministry and police officials to review security in the mid and far-West concludes in Nepalgunj Friday.
The regular regional exercise reviewed the security in the region
with its complexities.
