TWO KILLED IN NAWALPARASI
Kathmandu, 15 Nov.: Two persons died while 25 others were in two separate road accidents that took place in Nawalparasi on the East-West Highway on Wednesday, RSS reports from Kawasoti..
Khadga Bahadur Magar (85) of Mukundapur-6, Pitauji died when the cycle he was riding was hit by a passenger bus (Lu.1Kha.5197) heading towards Butwal from Kathmandu today afternoon, according to the District Traffic Police Office. The incident took place at Mukundapur of Nawalparasi.
In the accident, twenty passengers travelling in the bus were injured as the bus overturned while trying to unsuccessfully avoid hitting the cyclist. Assistant of the Bus, Surya Bahadur Nepali of Banganga-9 of Kapilvastu, who was among the injured, died while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
Similarly, five persons travelling on a passenger bus (Lu.1Kha.4807) were injured when the bus collided with a jeep (Lu.1Ja.536) at Puspa Lal Chowk of Kawasoti this afternoon. The bus was en route to Butwal when it hit the jeep coming from the opposite direction.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the Kaligandaki Hospital, Kawasoti, police said.
