PM BLAMES OPPOSITION IN NAIONAL ADDRESS
Kathmandu, 22 Nov.; Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Thursday blamed
opposition for lack of census, delayed announcement of the national budget and government’s failure to hold promised elections for a constituent assembly in a national address from Sigha Durbar.
Thursday’s deadline for a vote was missed and second round elections have been announced this week
“Government is ready for minimum consensus,” he said appealing for cooperation from an adamant opposition .
There was no mention of his resignation in the address amid calls for
cooperation to hold assembly elections.
and call for political stability.
The premier said government was ready for ‘any sacrifice for consensus’ including resignation.
The government chief said he won’t e a stumbling block to much hyped
consensus.
