PRESIDENT CALLING FOR GOVT. OF NATIONAL CONSENSUS Kathmandu, 23 Nov.: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav will appeal Friday for a government if national consensus amid a growing fift and differences between government and opposition, published repots said. The presidential move is coming to break a continuing political deadlock. A consensus government hasn’t been formed even six months after Prime Minister Baburm Bhattarai was asked to continue as caretaker following dissolution of a constituent assembly that couldn’t promulgate a constitution to institutionalize a declared republic even in four years. President Dr.Yadav is consulting advisors whether to set a deadline for assembling a consensus government, reports said. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Thursday night consulted the president after his address to the nation when the government chief blamed the opposition for delayed announcement of the budget this week along with failure of forge consensus and hold announced constituent assembly elections Thursday. The task of a consensus government will be to conduct assembly elections. Maoists leading the government and PM Bhattarai have been saying the incumbent government can hold declared elections sometime in April/May The government should be expanded to give it a national character. nnnn 1 BIHAR LEGISLATOR FREED BY MORANG COURT Kathmandu, 23 Nov. Bihar member of the legislative assembly Jakir Miyan arrested from Jhapa on charge of kidnapping Biratnagar businessman Tulasi Agrawal for more than Rs.30 million ransom Biratnagar businessman was released by the Morang district court Thursday Miyan has been asked to present himself at court when needed but left for Jogbani across the border immediately after release. The court remanded Bhola Shankar Tiwari to judicial custody. Tiwari was arrested with the Bihar legislative member and is beig charged for shooting a policeman in Biratnagar. Nnnn NEPAL TO HOST FOURTH ACC T20 CUP Kathmandu, 23 Nov.: The Fourth ACC T20 Cup. tournament will be held in Kathmandu from 23 March to 1 April 1, 2013m an announcement said Thursday. Nepal had hosted the third edition of the tournament in Kathmandu last year. Defending champion Afghanistan, Hong Kong, UAE, Malaysia, Kuwait and the Maldives will participate in the tournament along with the host. Top two teams of the ACC Challenge Cup to be held in Thailand in December will also participate in the tournament. Top three teams, except Afghanistan, from ACC T20 Cup will qualify for 16-team World T20 Qualifiers. Nnnn e
