PRESIDENTS SUMMONS BIG THREE AND MADESHI ALLIANCE TO DISCUSS BUDGET CRISIS Kathmandu, 13 Nov.: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has convened a meeting of leaders the ruling coalition of UCPN Maoist and Madeshbadi parties Tuesday with leaders of two main opposition parties to discuss a budget crisis which was averted Monday. A confrontation between the government, opposition and President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav was avoided when the cabinet didn’t meet as scheduled to recommend a budget for the remaining eight months of the current fiscal year 1012/13 to the ceremonial head of state for a presidential proclamation. The government was going ahead by recommending the ordinance even amid indications the president would disregard the government recommendation. The government was enforcing the budget unilaterally even as the president and the opposition demanded the caretaker government bring an income and expenditure statement only through consensus. The government said the budget has been delayed to seek a consensus as sought by the president and parties. nnnn
