REVENUE COLLECTION INREASES TARGET Kathmandu, 26 Nov.: Amid political uncertainty and lack of a full budget for the current fiscal, Rs 78 billion worth of revenue was collected during the first four months of the fiscal year 2012/13 against the government target of Rs 70.51 billion, RSS reports. Organising a news conference on Monday, assistant spokesperson at the Ministry of Finance Bhumiram Sharma said that the revenue collection was 30.23 per cent more than the corresponding period of the last fiscal year. The Ministry said that a total of Rs 58.53 billion was released for the first four months of the current fiscal year and Rs 58.05 billion was spent during the same period. Similarly, Rs 51.33 billion was spent out of Rs 51.68 billion released under the title of current expenditure. On the occasion, it was shared that Rs 3.53 billion was spent under the capital expenditure while Rs 3.18 billion was spent for financial management. During the period, the government received Rs 5.25 billion in foreign assistance against the commitment of Rs 5.68 billion. Under the foreign assistance, Rs 4.55 billion comprised grant assistance while 701.3 million was loan assistance. Nnnn DRIVING LICENSE OF OFFNDERS CAUGH FIVE TIMES TO BE SUSPENDED Kathmandy, 26 Nov. Nnnn ONE MISSING, THREE INJURED IN TRUCK PLUNGE INTO RIVER Kathmandu, 26 Nov.: A mechanic has gone missing after a truck plunged into Trishuli River from Panch Kilo at Chandibhanjyang VDC in Chitwan district on Sunday night, RSS reports from Chitwan.. The identity of the missing is yet to be ascertained. The truck plunged into the river while he was lost control of the truck at Panch Kilo along Narayangadh-Muglin section, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan. Three others were also injured in the accident. Ansari had carried out maintenance of the truck (Na 3 Kha 9575) heading towards Kathmandu from Birgunj after it went out of order. The truck plunged some 80 meters into the river from the road after Ansari lost control carrying out its maintenance, said police Police has started the search operation. nnnn
