COLD CLAIMS ANOTHER LIFE IN MOHOTTARI
Kathamandu, 18 Dec.: A woman died due to extreme cold in Bhatauliya VDC of Mahottari district Tuesday afternoon. Mercury has dipped in the district
for last five days, RSS reports from Gaushala..
The deceased has been identified as Sairul Khatun (45) the wife of Kurman Ansari, of Bhatauliya VDC Ward No. 3.
Khatun who is said to be from a very poor family died for lack of warm clothes and shelter, said Mahamud Ansari, a local resident.
Late Khatun had arrived in the VDC from Baheda of the same district some five years ago and she had been living on support provided by villagers.
With this, the number of people dying due to cold has reached three this year in Mahottari.

HERGOG REMEMBERED

Chamonix city, RSS reports..
Herzog was the first mountaineer to climb Mt Annapurna in 1950.
Sending a message to Minister for Foreign Affairs of France Mr Laurent Fabius on Tuesday, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Herzog was a true friend as well as well-wisher of Nepal.
Foreign Minister Shrestha has, in the message, extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the French Minister, people of France and the bereaved family on behalf of government and people of Nepal.
