CASES AGAINST 18 MAOISTS WITHDRAWN
Kathmandu, 4:Dec.; The government has decided to withdraw various cases filed against the 18 Maoist cadres on Tuesday.

HELP SOUGHT TO TRACE MISSING GERMAN TOURIST

Fifty-three-year-old Marino Menachhitti has been missing since a month.
All rescue efforts so far have ended futile. However, the tent, clothes and gas cylinder used by Marino was found from a place called Dulai in course of the research, but there is no trace of her, said Director of the Tourist Search and Rescue Institute, Pokhara, Jit Magar.
The desperate family made the announcement for cash prize along with an appeal to help find her after all efforts including an aerial survey could not trace Marino.

UPDATE THREE PARTY LEADERS GIVE ASSURANCES
KATHMANDU: The top leaders of the main political parties have expressed commitment that they would give political outlet to the country before the deadline set by the President for the second time.
The parties said they were striving for political consensus and hopeful for this.
With a team of the UML-affiliated Youth Association on Tuesday, the leaders of the big parties were univocal that they were desperate to give political outlet to the country.
Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal said he was working untiringly for the political consensus by intensifying talks with the parties.
"All parties need to be honest to resolve crisis and form national consensus government within the deadline given for the second time by the President," he stressed.
Similarly, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala said, "I'm confident about consensus this time as efforts were on for it."
However, he pointed out the need that the UCPN-Maoist must abide by the past agreements, which would help forge consensus soon.
According to the UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal, the pressure programme of the Association was laudable, and an agreement on time was a present need.
Association's General Secretary Niraj Acharya said they submitted memorandums to the top leaders to pile pressure on them to strike a deal within the deadline set for the second time.
The prime minister must not obstruct the institutionalization of republic and protection of the achievements of the People's Movement II, Acharya said.
Association Chairman Mahesh Bansnet, general secretary Acharya and office bearers visited the leaders.
