MORE DETAILS OF PRESIDENT’S ACTIVITIES IN NEW DELHI Kathmandu, 29 Dec.: According to our New Delhi reporter, Rupesh Acharya, on the final day [Saturday], he [{resident DR. Ram Baran Yadav] was called on by Lal Krishna Advani, senior leader of Baratiya Janata Patry and Indian Minister for Commerce, Industry and Textile Ananda Sharma, The Himalayan Times reports.. President Yadav also met Indian External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Friday late night. Minister Khurshid, talking to the media after the meet opined that the President’s visit though short became successful. He also said that because of the political impasses in Nepal, there were limited issues on which both countries could discuss. ''There were not much agendas on which we could talk,” said Khurshid. However, he informed that issues on power were discussed at ministerial level. ''Our water resource minister met Minister Mahendra Yadav and I had requested that they could start talk on things that could be done,'' he added. He also informed that technical wings of power sector are working to provide electricity supply to Nepal to in a bid to reduce power cut. Talking on political agendas, he told that there were discussions on routine things whatever was possible during the President’s visit. "We have repeatedly wished for betterment of Nepal and asked the President to convey it to Nepali people,” said Khurshid ''We hope parties will be able to forge consensus to pave the way for fresh poll,” Answering journalist’s question about the specific reasons behind his third time meeting with the President he said that he wanted to be sure that the President was comfortable with his medical tests. “Medical tests were the primary purpose for his visit, and I am glad that the medical tests went well", said Khurshid. President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, who had left for an official visit of India on November 24, had held talks with his counterpart Pranab Mukherjee, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh among others in New Delhi. Earlier on Tuesday, President Dr Yadav was honoured with Doctorate of Law from Banaras Hindu University. nnnn GERMAN NATIONAL ARRESTED FOR INDESCENT BEHAVIOUR Kathmandu, 29 Dec.: A foreign tourist was caught red-handed while being engaged in sexual activities with a minor boy from a hotel at Sauraha in Chitwan Friday Night, RSS reports from Ratnanagar, Chitwan. Identified as Manfrintz, the German national was arrested on the charge of molestation of a local boy. Police have rescued the victim. Tourism entrepreneurs said that they informed the police about the incident. They said the accused used to bring boys from different places and molest them in the past also. According to Inspector Devenrea Pal of Area Police Office, Ratnanagar, details of the incident would be revealed after an investigation. The German national has been sent to District Police Office, Chitwan, today. Police have also seized a recorder, a camera and a laptop from the possession of the accused. Nnnn SUGAR PRICE FIXED Kathmandu, 29 Dec.: Sugar mill owners and farmers Friday fixed the procurement price of sugar in Nawalparasi. The price was fixed at Rs.400 per quintal. nnnn
