PRESIDENT ASKS PARTY LEADERS TO REMOVE HURDLES IN APPOINTMENTS TO CONSTITUTIONAL BODIES
Kathmandu, 4 Dec.: President Dr.Ram Baran Yadav Tuesday morning
asked leaders of the ruling coalition and two main opposition parities—NC and UML—to work together to remove roadblocks in removing appointments to constitutional bodies.
Government is preparing to bring an ordinances to make appointments amid complaints from the supreme court work was hampered at the apex court without
filling in vacancies.
Election commission has said planned national elections can’t be conducted April/May without the appointment of additional commissioners.
There are four vacancies in the commission.
The cabinet meets Tuesday afternoon following assurances of party leaders
to the president to remove hurdles.
The government is bringing in an ordinance to make appointments without parliamentary hearings in the absence of a legislature.

FORMER MAOIST KILLED IN DHADING
Kathmandu, 4 Dec.: Former Maoist Bjusan Simkhada, 25, as killed overnight at Dharke in Dgading.
His body with tied hands and feet were found one day before Chairan Prachanda visits the district.
A Maoist district leader and YCL activist was murdered in the district Monday.

THREE PARTY MEET

government with a consensus prime minister.
The first deadline wasn’t met.

GOLD RECOVERD FROM VEHICLE COMING FROM TIBET
Kathmandu, 4 Dec.: Nine kilo gold was recovered Tuesday morning from
a vehicle at four in the morning inDhulijhel.
The yellow metal was being transported from Tibet to the capital.
Gold is smuggled in from India and Tibet as prices are high during the current wedding season.

UML:’S YOUTH ASSOCIATION HANDING OVER MEMORANDUM
TO THREE PARTY LEADERS
Kathmandu, 4 Dec.: UML’s Youth Association Nepal is handing over
memorandum to leaders Maoists. NC and UML demanding national and local elections in April/May.
The body took the decision at a national meet that concluded Sunday.
The Association will be mobilized for the planned vote
