SUPPORT FOR A HINDU STATE
Kathmandu, 5 Dec.: International Chief Patron of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Ashok Singhal stressed the need of introducing Nepal as a Hindu nation for the country has over 81 per cent of population following Hindu religion, RSS reports..
Speaking at a press conference organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad here today, Chief Patron Singhal said as per the latest census, a total of 81 per cent of Nepal's population is Hindu and in spite of the country's core Omkar Parivar forming 94 per cent of its population, declaring it a 'secular' country is not only a trickery with the Nepalese society but also a conspiracy and plot against it while there are 52 Muslim countries and 169 Christian countries in the world. It is a concern of all Hindu people, he added.
Singhal in a press release issued today said, "Under the ploy of 'secularism', the Church has been hurrying with its conversion agenda by blatantly flouting the laws against conversion."
"Enormous money is being pumped into Nepal from USA and Europe to buy ways for evangelization, planting of Churches and 'harvest of souls' by undermining the indigenous cultures. In these activities, international NGOs are lending their manpower and assets."
"If the government makes the laws against conversion more stringent and sincerely implements them, it would prevent mass conversion. Massive infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims into Nepal is also taking place," he added.
The international community knows that the Hindus of the Bodo areas of Assam are compelled to flee their hearths and homes and exit like refugees due to aggression on them in their own territories by Bangladeshi Muslim Infiltrators, it stated.
A similar history may repeat itself in Nepal if Nepal does not enact sooner than later strong laws and implement it to prevent it, he said.
Chief Patron Singhal further said "The government should therefore veto infiltration of Bangladeshi Muslims and flush out the entrenched infiltrators and deport them forthwith. All such things are taking place under the ploy of 'secularism'."
The press release reads, there is a Cow Protection Law in place but it is being utterly flouted due to which Godhan (cattle) in thousands is being trafficked into Bangladesh.
He mentioned in the press release that clandestine cow slaughter is also taking place at various locations in the country and beef is being openly served in hotels. In order to prevent it, the Nepalese government needs to enact strong laws and implement it.
Three hundred schools imparting Vedic studies that the Hindu populace of Nepal ran on donations were shut down by anti-religious elements and it is now causing a shortfall of trained priests for our temples and qualified Karmakandi Pundits for priestly work.
He informed that some 100 million Hindus will take holy dips in the Kumbha Mela (fair) to be held in India shortly and President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav was also invited to the fair.
At the programme, Chairman of the Biswo Hindu Parishad, Nepal, Dr. Shashi Thapa said Hinduism was being attacked from all sides and that the Parishad was established for its preservation.
