UPDATE FINAL RITES OF BHIM BAHADUR TAMANG HELD Kathmandu, 2 Dec.: The final rites of senior NC Leader Bhim Bahadur Tamang were conducted at Syambhunath according to Buddhist rites Sunday. Top NC party leaders, including President Sushil Koirala, were present. The body of Tamang who died Saturday of a heart attack was taken in procession to Syambhnath from the party office in Sanepa. All government and private office in his home district Dolakha were closed.Sunday as a mark of respect. Residents from Dolakha attended the last rites.. Tamang, 78, was the fist of his ethnic groupto rise to a top position in any party. He was a principled and selfless man and gave up his family to join NC politics. Tamang was a former law minister.
