ARMY CHIEF BEGINS INDIA VISIT
Kathmandu, 6 Jan.: Army Chief Gen. Gaurab Shumshere JB Rana begins his first India visit after assuming office soon after the official visit to President Dr. Raam Baran Yadav.
This is Rana’s second foreign visit after Australia.
He’ll be conferred the title of honourary general of Indian Army reflecting the good relations between South Asian nations India and Nepal.
Indian Army is also given the title of general of Nepal Army when relations arenlt strained.
New Delhi has said it is ready to resume suspended arms supplies to Nepal
Suspended during a brief royal regime but Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, who is defence ministry, has asked India in writing to withhold supplies,

JUMLA FOEST FIRE KILLS TWO
Kathmandu, 6 Jan.: A forest fire killed two persons even in the winter in Jumla
Saturday.
The fire started at a community forest.

UML DISOLVES CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF STUDENT WING
Kathmandu, 6 Jan.: UML standing committee dissolved the central committee of its student wing All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU).
The decision was taken on the recommendation of secretary Yubaraj
Geywali.
The party asked the union to form an organizing committee to hold a general convention for new leadership,
