Friends Club and APF meet in another match. nnnn NUWAKOT BULL FIGHT PROTESTED Kathmandu, 21 Jan.: The Society to Stop Cruelty Against Animals and Birds has protested against the traditional bull fight event held annually in Nuwakot, RSS reports.. The society has also objected to the bull fights that the Fair Management Committee is planning to organise in Kathmandu on February 1 and 2. President of the Society, Dr. Govinda Tandon, said that to take pleasure in the suffering of animals by making them fight is not in consistent with the religion and culture but is a bad practice. He added that this would only help increase cruelty towards animals and would only engender negative thinking among the people. nnnn BROWN SUGAR RECOVERED FROM INDIAN TRAFFICER Kathmandu, 21 Jan.; : Police have detained a man for carrying the narcotics substance brown sugar, RSS reports from Hetauda. Anis Ansari of Motihari village, India who was travelling by bus bound towards Kathmandu from Birgunj was nabbed for possessing the narcotic substance in course of carrying out a security check of the bus at local Ratmate, said police. Police confiscated 1.9 grams of the narcotic substance from Ansari which was concealed in his private parts. nnnn
