CONTINUE INVESTIGATION OF JOURNALIST MURDER Kathmandu, 15 Jan.:: The supreme court single bench of Justice Kalayan Shrestha Tuesday issued a stay order to continue investigation of murder of journalist Dekendra Thapa 2004 by Maoists in Dailelh. A single bench of Justice Kalyan Shrestha issued the verdict in response to the writ petition filed by advocate Govinda Bandi. The writ was filed after intervention of police investigation by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and General Mukti Pradhan to stop investigation. Pradhan cncelleda visit to USA fearing arrest. The actions of top officials have created a nation-wide protests and indignation. The order, in effect, will allow police to record statements of the accused in the murder. Four more Maoists are wanted in the murder. Nnnn OPPOSITION DETAILED PROTESTS Kathmandu, 15 Jan.: NC, UM: and other opposition parties Tuesday Reiterated their position to take to the streets to bring down the government of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai. The first phage of protest from January 19 to February 8. Protests will start significantly from Dailekh and end in the capital. Nnnn UPDATE PRESIDENT Kathmandu, 15 Jan.: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav Tuesday again asked the parties to continue effort to find a consensus government. No deadline was set. nnnn
