CURFEW CONTINUES IN RAMPUR, PALPA Kathmandu, 21 Jan.: Curfew continued for the second consecutive day Monday at Rampur in Palpa. Police lobbed teargas shells and fired in the air at mobs swelled Sunday Protesting what was called the murder of a 27-year-old woman whose body was found floating on a river. Locals suspect the family for the killing. The body hasn’t been lifted from the hospital for last rites. The police post was vandalized. Nnnn CPN MAOIST CENTRAL COMMITTEE MEET CONTINUES Kathmandu, 21 Jan.: The central committee meeting of the CPN Maoist, an offshoot of ruling UCPN Maoist continued for the second day Monday as 51 members didn’t complete presenting their views on the first day Sunday. The party is reviewing results of the recent general convention, anti-government protests and other issues. The party is pursuing independent protests against government without aligning with other parties who have also decided to bring down the government from the street. Five more members of the central committee have to be appointed. nnnn . TEMPERATURE 2 DEGREES CELSIUS Kathmandu, 21 Jan.: Temperature in the capital Monday morning at seven was 2 degrees Celsius.
