MAOIST PEPPARATORY COMMITTEE MEET FOR GENERAL CONVETION POSTPONED Kathmandu, 2 Jan. A preparation committee for the first Maoist general convention that was to be help in the capital from Friday has been postponed until 10 January. The general convention is being held in Hetauda for the first time in 21 years. “The document being presented after 21 years is coming/It has to answer all questions. If election is confirmed within some days, one document will come and if that doesn’t, a different document will be presented,” That’s why there has been some delay in writing the draft,”, said an unidentified Maoist leader in Gorkhapatra. nnnn BANKING DEFAULTER ARRESTED Kathmandu, 2 Jan.: Police has arrested bank defaulter and treasurer of the then Public Finance Cooperative Limited Ranjip Bhasu. He was on the run for the past nine years, RSS reports. A police team from central investigation bureau arrested Bhasu on Monday and presented him before Kathmandu District Court on Tuesday. The cooperative was established in 2055 at Kamaladi in the capital. Bhasu and his other accomplices Sarita Shrestha, Ram Narayan Pradhan, Rosan Shrestha, Pratap KC and Radhesh Kumar Pradhan were also arrested. The court on 2062/04/32 had announced a sentence of one year in jail and Rs 1.33 million fine each on the charge of committing financial crime.
