GENERAL IN INTRVENTION OF COLLEAGUE FOR MURDER CASE
Kathmandu, 14 Jan.: Journalists wore black bands around their arms and worked Monday to protest interference by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and the
attorney general to stop recoding of statements of five Maoists in Dailekh eight years ago.
Protests will continue Tuesday.
Journalists from the three districts of the Valley staged a sit-in at the residence of the prime minister.
Journalist Chief Shiba Gaule who returned to the capital from Dailekh after inspection with a team said district journalists were working under fear following intervention.
