PM SUGGESTS NEUTRAL PM Kathmandu, 2 Jan. Embattled Prime Minister Baburam Bhattara, whose resignation has been called even by the Western members of the diplomatic community, including EU member states, Wednesday suggested appointing a neutral prime minister other than NC President Sushil Koirala. Bhattarai’s resignation has been demanded by the opposition as well and party Chairman Prachana at one time backed the candidacy of Koirala. The Bhattarai suggestion was made to UML leader and former prim Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal. Nepal told Bhattarai to get his proposal endorsed by the party. Prachanda, who returned from Bangkok Wednesday, called for a resolution of a deadlock but showed his preference for a government led by a party. "I hope there will be consensus between the parties in the next two days," Prachanda added,’ We should not object to a candidate outside parties though. NC and UML later took up the Prachanda at a bilateral meeting of parties. Nepal discussed Bhattarai’s suggestion wth TMLP Chief Mahanta Thakur. Nnnn
