Kathmandu, 16 Jan.: Stock prices continued to slip Wednesday during weekly trading.
Nepse closed at 528.13 points after registering a loss of 2.11 points.
Altogether 185,261 shares were traded for Rs.74.683 million in
1157 transactions.

GOVT ASKS MINISTRY TO RESTORE CABLE LINKS OF OPERATORS
Kathmandu, 16 Jan.: The Ministry of Information and Communications has directed the cable television operators to immediately start the transmission of TV channels including NTV and NTV Plus closed against the conditions to compulsorily transmit them while taking licenses, RSS reports.
The Ministry said it is fully committed to implementing the National Broadcasting (sixth amendment regulations 2069 BS) to provide quality services to the masses.
The government said it is alert on the act carried out to negate the making of clients´ number, service and revenue transparent.
The ministry said its attention was drawn toward the stopping of transmission of channels including NTV, NTV plus and Image Channel and added the process of action has been started as per the National Broadcasting Act 2049 BS.

PRESIDENT TO HONOURS 25 JAN.
Kathmandu, 16 Jan.: President Dr. Rambaran Yadav is to confer decorations, and give away different awards amidst a program at the Presidential Palace, Sheetalniwas, on January 25, RSS reports..
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, as many as 115 personalities would be conferred with the decorations including Rastragaurav, Mahaujjwal, Rastradeep, Suprabal Janasewashree, Prabal Janasewashree, and Jana Sewashree, amidst the function.
The personalities have to contact the Ministry of Home Affairs within January 23 for the decorations.
Among the decorations, the late Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and republican leader Ramraja Prasad Singh would be posthumously conferred with the Rastragaurav decorations.
