SIX HELD FOR ABDUCTION
Kathmandu, 14 Jan.: The District Police Office Chitwan has arrested six persons on the charge of abduction, RSS reports from Chitwan.
They were arrested for their involvement in the abduction of Damodar Tiwari of Gaidakot in Nawalparasi on Friday.
They had abducted Tiwari, who was running a Medicare in Shahid Chowk of Narayangadh, said Chitwan police Chief Deepak Kumar Thapa.
Those arrested are Chhogel Dong of Pashupatinagar, Ilam, Dorje Tamang of Siddhi in Ilam, Bir Bahadur Bamjan and Bikram Singh Gurung of Makwanpur,and Subit Adhikari of Kathmandu.They were arrested from Gondrang of Chitwan along with motorcycles, police said.

VICE-PRESIDENT UPBEAT
Kathmandu, 14 Jan.: Vice President Parmanand Jha has expressed the confidence that there will be agreement very soon as dialogue was on among the president and the parties, RSS reports from Siraha.
Speaking at a press conference organized in Lahan by the FNJ Siraha, he said even if it will not be agreed tomorrow there will be an outlet in a few days.
Jha said the president should seek alternative but has been extending term for an easy solution, adding the parties have been making efforts for agreement gradually.
He said the president has the compulsion to extend the term, the parties will retire asking for extending term, and in the end they will be compelled to agree for themselves.
In another context, Jha said action should be taken those involved in the murder of the journalist in Dailekh. He also said the prime minister has protected the murderers as he appoints the attorney general.
