Hostas come in a wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes and can be found in almost
every home landscape. Cypress mulch has organic compounds that are allelopathic.
Depending on the density of the mulch, one should lay two to
six inches of mulch over topsoil in the vegetable
garden.
