DISCUSSION ON PRACHANDA REPORT BEGINS
Kathmandu, 4 Feb. Delegates were divided into 61 groups that started
discussion Monday at a closed session on a political report of Chairman Prachanda at the
party general convention in Hetauda.
The convention after 21 years concludes Wednesday.
Gopal Kirati submitted a differing report.

OPPOSITION PROTEST IN POKHARA
Kathmandu, 4 Feb.: Opposition parties shut down Pokhara Monday
in an effort to pull down the government.
The street protests began from Dailekh, Biratnagar and Nepalgunj
and will conclude in the capital Friday.

EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS CLOSED DOWN IN CHITWAN
Kathmandu, 4 Feb.:: The Joint Students Struggle Committee, Chitwan, closed all educational institutions in the district, saying that the local administration arrested the student leaders and tortured them for no reason, RSS reports from Chitwan..
Central Members of ANNISU- Revolutionary Narayan Neupane and Rudra Bhattarai, and ANNFSU district president Keshav Kandel, were arrested from the campus last night and were released at 7:30 am on Monday.
With this call for strike, classes in all public and private schools, and Colleges in the district are disrupted. ANNFSU central member Niraj Bhatta, said the students called the closure of educational institutions as the students were arrested for no reason.
Bhatta said the police administration has not coordinated with them though the arrested students were reported to be released this morning.
They were arrested based on the written complaint against the student leaders filed by the campus administration. They were accused of involving in hooliganism in the campus.
