"I have appealed to President Dr. Yadav to issue the two ordinances before February 18 before the international conference on anti-money laundering and the organized crime control," said Minister Pun. "We also held talks on the contemporary political situations and the President is hopeful that consensus on various alternatives would be forged among the political parties soon," he added. Nnnn DR. RAM SHARAN MAHAT CALLS FOR PRESIDENTIAL INTERVETION Kathamandu, 13 Feb.: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr Ram Sharan Mahat has stressed that the President should come up with intervention as political parties are moving away from consensus, RSS reports from Nuwakot.. At a press meet organized at Bidur of Nuwakot on Wednesday, leader Mahat further said a new deadline of coming Thursday granted by the President to the parties for consensus would also go abortive. The President should move ahead by taking power at own hand since the UCPN -Maoist has shut door for consensus by keeping up autocratic rule. 'The President's move would be to hold fair election and hand over power to a new government', he clarified. Leader Mahat commented that the UCPN-Maoist has closed avenue for consensus by bringing the proposal of forming election government under the Chief Justice. He further said confusion persisting in the country would be removed if a new government was formed under NC President's leadership. nnnn
