UPDATE MAOIST CONVENTION GETS UNDERWAY
Kathmandu, 2 Feb.: The delayed seventh’s open Maoist general convention
began in Hetauda Saturday afternoon.
The meeting to set party policies and programmes was delayed by more
than 90 minutes.
Top opposition leadership is boycotting the meeting and has assembled in Biratnagar instead for an anti-government rally to bring down the government.
NC and UML are represented by Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel and
Vice-chairman Bamdeb Gautam respectively.
Chairman Prachanda will formally launch the meet.

MAN’S DEAD BODY ALSO FOUND IN MOHOTTARI
Kathmandu, 2 Feb.: A dead body has been found at Ramnagar Jungle in Mahottari district on Friday evening, RSS reports from Mohottari..
The dead body was found in the Jungle in Ramnagar VDC-7 along East- West Highway around 6:00 pm last evening, said Inspector, Suraj Khadka.
The deceased has not been identified. The police have suspected that he might belong to the hilly Brahmin or Chhetri family and is about 55 years old. He had worn a gray stripped shirt and a white pant.
The dead body has been taken to District Hospital Jaleshwar for postmortem this morning, police said.
