1.2 MILLION DOVOTEES EXPECTED TO HAVE DARSHAN OF PASHPATINATH ON SHIVATARTRI SUNDAY
Kathmandu, 7 March: AN estimated 1.2 million devotees are expected to
have a darshan of Pashupathibath on Shivaratri Sunday, Member-Secretary of Pashupatnath Development Sushil Naita said.
Altogether 1200 sadhus and santhas have arrived until Wednesday after participating in Khumba Mela in Allahabad, he said.
Gates for devotees with tickets will be opened from nine in the morning to 12 noon.
.Nearly 2,800 security personnel are being deplyed this year.

OFFICIAL AT TIA ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED IRREGULAR FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES
Kathmandu, 7 March: Non-gazetted officer Laxnab Dulal at TIA was
arrested Wednesday for alleged involvement in financial irregularities.
He was handed over to CIAA by police.

POLICE HOSPITAL BEING CONVERTED INTO MEDICAL COLLEGE
Kathmandu, 7 March: Nepal Police is converting its hospital into a
medical college.
The idea was first mooed five years ago.
The hospital is located at Maharajgunj.
A decision was taken Wednesday.
