They will attend a cabinet meeting at one in the afternoon/ Nnnn JAYAPRAKASH PRASAD GUPTA ABHIYAN Kathmandu, 19 March: Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta released from Dilli Bazzar Khor after serving a 13 moth sentence for official corruption is launching a Terai Mdesh Rashtriy Abhiyan [campaign] Tuesday.. The move is seen as Gupta’s attempt to keep alive his political future after conviction for conviction. He is debarred from jolding official positions in the party or government. Gupta is expected to form a 100-member ad hoc committee Tuesday to maintain his grip in national politics through terai politics. Like NC’s Govinda Raj Joshi and Khum Bahadur Khadka, Gupta was convicted by the supreme court. Khadka is still behind bars. Gupta said he’ll fight for a federal structure and accused five-party Madesh alliance that is now aligned with Maoists in and out of government. “By sighing the11-point deal [to install government chief Regmi] the leaders of United Democratic Madesh Front have signed their own death knell,” he said immediately after coming out of his cell Monday. Supporters profusely garlanded him with marigolds. . He highlighted double standards in Nepali politics pointing out one politician moved around freely with the high and mighty with police protection even after being convicted for murder while he was imprisoned.
